Proverbs 3:5-6,

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight."

"God always has and always will look for men and women who say to Him, 'I trust You so much, I'm all in. I want Your way not mine. I am willing to live by faith!'" ~ Chip Ingram

Psalm 9:10,

"Those who know Your name trust in You,

for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You."

"Trusting God is the foundation upon which all other aspects of the Christian life must be built." ~ Charles Stanley

Psalm 112

1 Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in His commands.
2 Their children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches are in their houses,
and their righteousness endures forever.
4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice.
6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
they will be remembered forever.
7 They will have no fear of bad news;
their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;
in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
9 They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor,
their righteousness endures forever;
their horn will be lifted high in honor.
10 The wicked will see and be vexed,
they will gnash their teeth and waste away;
the longings of the wicked will come to nothing."

“We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call attention to their shining - they just shine.” ~ Dwight L. Moody

There are areas in our lives where we will miss the mark - there will be additional places in our lives where we fail to even draw our arrows from the quiver. But then there are those beautiful moments when we draw out our arrows in faith, feel them in-between our fingers, pull them back with diligent and focused aim, and let go - watching our arrows slide through the air, knowing, before they land, that they will securely hit their target.

God asks this of us - that we make, collect and carry a multitude of readiness in our quivers, being ready at all times to take aim at what God has set in front of us, allowing Him to have control over our very being - down to the slightest movements we make and giving Him the glory when the target is hit.

May we feel God's steadiness as strength is required from us, in the various moments of our lives. Day to day, may we trust Him to guide us as we repeatedly put blinders on to what so easily distracts us, fixing our eyes solely on the target ahead.

Sending love,

Sarah Jane
