"We're going to a place where we are going to reap. We've been sowing all these weeks and months and years, and we think we're getting by with it. Our conscience no longer bothers us. Why? Because the Bible teaches that you can harden your conscience. You can cause it to become dead! It no longer speaks! It's no longer an active guide for you!" - Billy Graham

But here's the hope we have: sincere repentance.

Take your sins to the assembly and repent and be cleansed.

Those things that you try to keep in secret are not secret from the Lord. And whether in this life or the next, the you will be judged and held accountable.

Proverbs 28:1, "The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."

Proverbs 28:5-6, "Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the Lord understand it fully. Better the poor whose walk is blameless than the rich whose ways are perverse."

Proverbs 28:11-13, "The rich are wise in their own eyes; one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.
When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding.
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy."

Take time today to figure out those areas in your life that need to be given over to God and then give them.

If it's love of power, give it over, because you're not the one with the power anyway.

If it's pride - get on your face and humble yourself before God and others - especially if you have led or do lead any group of people. Show humility.

If it's lust, ask God to put into line all of your desires, according to what is right.

Some people really think they can keep secret, all of their sin. It doesn't work that way. There is no secret place where you won't be found out. There will be accountability.

Be sure that your sin will find you out.

Don't come to your deathbed unrepentant and not sure where to start.

Please pray with me:

Lord, none of us can fight the temptation or the battle of the flesh on our own. We must have Your word and Your strength and follow Your humility examples throughout the Word. We know that the prideful will fall and we acknowledge that You know every thought and action, how we treat people, our motives and intentions of the heart. You know all these things.

Some of us will take comfort in that and others will fall to fear. Let us rejoice in You and in the fact that You are a God who loves and a God who sent His only Son to die on the cross for our sins.

Remind us that we should be repentant daily. It is not 'once saved always saved'.

And, the greater the responsibility given to each of us, the more need there is for us to humbly repent in front of those who look to us for direction and instruction. Jesus was our example and we are now the example to other believers and to the world. Let us live as a good and faithful servant awaiting you're coming with joy.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
